rent only

What creating a coin does, what it costs, and the market it trades in: fix's own curve and pool.

  • fee
none; creation costs account rent only
  • rent
    at most 0.05760212 SOL, once
  • name
up to 32 characters; ticker up to 13
  • supply
all of it to the coin's market
  • allocation
    none for the creator
  • authorities
no mint or freeze authority remains
  • pool
fix's own; the last curve buy moves the coin in at the same price
  • liquidity
stays in the program; no LP token, no withdrawal

01What creating a coin does

Creating a coin is one transaction to the fix program. It makes a Token-2022 mint with its metadata on the mint, mints the whole fixed supply into the coin's market, and leaves no mint authority and no freeze authority behind. Nobody receives an allocation, the creator included.

The same transaction opens the coin's market account, which holds the coin's terms, its reserves and the slot it was created in, and its price record, the account calls are scored from. The coin trades on its curve from then on, and buying opens with the next slot (Block).

02What it costs

Creation takes no fee. The creator's wallet pays rent, once, for the four accounts it opens:

market
296 bytes: terms, reserves, creation slot
price record
9,704 bytes, 0.04994656 SOL on its own
mint
up to 662 bytes with the program's longest metadata
vault
165 bytes: the market's token account

Together that is at most 0.05760212 SOL, read from Solana mainnet rent on 26 Oct 2026, plus the network fee. Shorter metadata lowers the mint's rent. The create screen shows the figure the API reads from the chain at that moment.

03What you fill in

name
up to 32 characters
ticker
up to 13 letters and digits
image
PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP up to 2 MB, or the drawn coin in a colour you pick
description
a few lines about the coin
links
website, X and Telegram, each a full https link

The app stores the image and a metadata JSON and gives their address to the coin as its uri, an https link. The program keeps name, ticker and uri on the mint.

04The curve

A new coin trades on a constant-product curve with virtual reserves. Every buy and sell moves the price by the same formula, whoever sends it. Part of the supply is for sale on the curve; the rest stays in the market for the pool.

The coin page shows progress to graduation as the share of the curve's tokens already sold, and the reserves behind the price: the SOL and tokens in the market, the virtual reserves, and what is left on the curve.

05Graduation

The buy that takes the last token for sale on the curve graduates the coin inside the same instruction. Its reserves become the coin's pool in the program, which opens at the curve's last price. Graduation opens no accounts and takes no migration fee.

The pool keeps the exact final curve price as a rational reserve, and whole token atoms beyond it are burned; the receipt shows the burn. When the last buy offers more SOL than the curve has left to sell, the unused part stays with the buyer, on its own line in the quote.

06The pool

After graduation the coin trades in its pool, still in the fix program, at the pool fee written in its terms. The liquidity stays in the program: there is no LP token and no instruction that withdraws it.

07Launching in the app

  1. Open App and pick the launch cell, or go straight to /app/launch.
  2. Connect a wallet, add an image or keep the drawn coin, and fill in name, ticker and description.
  3. Read the terms the coin will lock in, press LAUNCH and sign.
  4. Once the coin is indexed the app opens its page. Buying opens with the next slot.

The rent figure is read from Solana mainnet on 26 Oct 2026. Shorter metadata lowers it.
